| Paul Picus has pursued a peripatetic, eclectic, and varied
creative career path. His experience spans more than 25 years as a writer,
editor, scriptwriter, director, designer, and producer. His work includes
hundreds of advertising, multimedia, television, theater, film, video,
Internet, and print projects for Microsoft, Kraft Foods, Kawasaki, Quaker
Oats, Toshiba, Sony, Safeco, Washington Mutual, and others. As a copywriter, creative director, and editor, Paul created national advertising campaigns, product catalogs and packaging, and print collateral that garnered numerous regional and national awards. He also wrote editorial and creative content for original MSN online programs and other Seattle-based Web design firms. At various times he has been a teacher and co-founder of a successful non-profit arts and theater organization. Paul also helped start up a multimedia production company, an international travel magazine, and a music publication. His writing background includes stints as a scriptwriter, novelist, playwright, and songwriter. He also worked as an editor and feature writer for corporate publications, and as a book and magazine editor. As a travel writer, journalist, and photographer his travels have taken him to Europe, North Africa, the South Pacific, Central America, and throughout North America. Pauls education included brief tenures at Miami-Dade and Orange Coast College, State University of NY, UCLA, and UCI where he majored in English, Creative Writing, and Communications. |
